alright, this is what it’s all about! still hot in the stand- the newest royal h prototype. this one’s going to have a 650c front wheel to lower the top tube for greater standover clearance. the head tube extension keeps it from being a funny bike (and lower back destroyer). when you’re riding it, it’ll feel like a 48cm frame, but when you get off, it’ll have the standover of a 43.5. amazing, right? i did one like this with a little less head tube extension way back when i was working out of the geekhouse shop. ah, those were the days. this extension is tall enough to warrant a reinforcing tube, which also adds to the general weirdness/cool factor. definitely won’t get mistaken for a stock bike. i also curved the seat stays so they come up parallel when the join to the seat tube. i’ve seen it done before on older bikes, and i like the look. onwards and upwards!
