thanksgiving’s tofurkey barely cold and tupperware’d, and it’s back to the shop to get some orders out the door.

this is when taking a ‘before’ picture would have been helpful- before the actual hacksawing started. ANYWAY, that one up there shows what the lug looked like to start. that bike was for the most brutal rider in the northeast, so i dared not remove the slightest bit of material.

here’s the finished product. nothing fancy, but it looks a little less bulky, ant it only took five hours! framebuilding! also worth noting is the lovely visage of antonio columbo in the background there. with a dove. coming out of a mouth. in his chest. and a bike fork lodged in his somatosensory cortex. italians! it was a lovely gift though, and i am working on a scroll of my own to send back to columbus tubing. i’ll have deer antlers for eyes and be barfing out bottom bracket shells. mettere a punto!
