projects like these are a bit of a black hole for framebuilders- super fun to make, but you look up after you’ve finished and realize half the day has gone by for one braze on. oh well. hearkening back to the days of shitty roads and (presumably) shittier spokes- the spoke carrier! and while i’ve never broken a spoke (only ride spinergys), this is a cool accessory. would have been cool as a chainstay protector on the drive side, but i didn’t want to run afoul of the belt drive. more on that later. this bike is going to get its own post, because it’s a lot of things all at once, and pretty interesting. thanks to its future owner marcus for coming up with the idea for re-purposing the diving bell cable stops.
