i mentioned this bike a few posts ago… i think all the braze ons work trumped the actual frame construction 2:1. it was very cool then to see it set up in its first iteration- as an around town machine. shimano nexus internal 8 speed driven by a gates belt drive. fenders will be installed soon, as there’s plenty of room in there for them! s&s couplers are currently hiding below inner tube protectors. they’ll keep the rain out and not draw too much attention to the fact that the bike can separate. look for this bike on display at the new england bicycle expo coming up on may 7th and 8th at the somerville armory on highland ave. it’ll be set up in full touring mode and ready for a journey across the americas. it’s definitely the right bike for it!
